Our Story

My name is Christina and I am a full-time employee, homeschool mom, and a passionate micro flower farmer.  Last summer I sold my candles and flower bouquets and my daughter sold her homemade soap at our local farmers market. When the flower season was over, I worked on the final stages of testing of my own, unique, candle wax blend, in hopes of one day opening an online candle store.

My brother, Steven, who we call "Uncle Stevie" got very sick with Pneumonia and was in the hospital for about a month. To keep his mind off the pain, I would bring my candles up to the hospital and he would give me his opinion on which ones he thought smelled good and which he thought would be good sellers. 

On October 29, 2023 Uncle Stevie passed away and my life will never be the same. It was through my grief that MemoryWicks Candle Co. was created.  I ran a fundraiser and sold our candles and soap to pay for his final expenses.  We received an overwhelming response from our community, friends, and family wanting more candles and more soap, so I have decided to go ahead and open my online store.  I can't think of a better way to keep my brother's memory alive.  

Our kids have been our biggest supporters in building this business, so to celebrate their invaluable help, each product category is named after one of them. It's our way of weaving family into every product we share with you.

Our family is pleased to offer high quality products that are safe, clean and affordable.  At MemoryWicks Candle Co., quality matters. Our sustainable candles are hand poured in small batches using our own unique blend of all natural soy and beeswax. Our candles come in beautiful, reusable vessels. We use premium fragrance oils that are locally sourced, right here in the Midwest.

Our fragrance oils are free of phthalates and are not made with any ingredients found on California’s Proposition 65 list. In addition, our fragrances are free from Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive Toxins, Organ Toxins and Acute Toxins.
